About MASBO

Welcome to MASBO members and potential members!

The Mississippi Association of School Business Officials (MASBO) was founded in 1970 for the following purposes:

  • The promulgation and establishment of the highest standards of ethics and practices in business methods and practices.
  • The study, analysis and dissemination of most efficient methods and practices in all matters pertaining to school business administration.
  • Comprehensive and progressive study of school business requirements and the establishment, as far as possible, of efficient standards.

The MASBO Annual Conference has long served as a time for Mississippi’s school financial management leaders to meet and obtain training on the fiscal requirements of public schools in our state. The conference has also grown into a time for networking and sharing ideas of how to better serve the children of Mississippi.

The organization’s role in policymaking and planning for the future of our state’s public schools has dramatically increased over the years.

As the role of school business officials has increased in importance, MASBO and its membership are viewed as experts in school operational management. Our members are seen as primary contributors to the efficient operations of major business entities and employers within our communities and our state.

The Mississippi Association of School Business Officials (MASBO) is affiliated with the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO), the Southeastern Association of School Business Officials (SASBO), and the Mississippi Association of School Administrators (MASA).

Our membership exceeds 800. For information on becoming a member contact:
